In this hands-on class, you will learn how easy it is to make pasta dough in your kitchen. You will create two favorites *Tortellini (bite size pillows of pasta stuffed with a light and tasty ricotta and Chevre blend served in a sage brown butter and shaved Parmigiano cheese and *Pappardelle (flat wide ribbons perfect to mop up every bit of the lemon, asparagus and Parmesan Cheese cream sauce created by you. As an added plus, you will have the opportunity to compare pasta making with the old school hand crank and with the trendy Kitchen Aid mixer.
You will go home with a variety of new culinary skills and delicious recipes to share with family and friends!
*Bruschetta – Warm toasted garlic toasted crostini with melted brie topped with roma tomatoes tossed in olive oil and basil
*A Spring Salad in a pear vinaigrette
*Tortellini (belly button shaped) stuffed with Ricotta, Chevre cheese tossed in sage brown butter shaved Parmigiana sauce
*Pappardelle (wide ribbons hand cut) served with lemon, asparagus and Parmesan Cheese cream sauce
*For those that desire a protein with their pasta dishes, a light serving of Italian sweet sausage sautéed in onions and peppers will be served.
Homemade vanilla ice cream – YES real ice cream, JUST PLAIN YUMMINESS – topped with a warm mixed berry compote.
